The Selwood show is a non profit making and friendly event held to display an extensive range of nostalgic exhibits, most of which can be seen working.
The 2009 show received widespread acclaim including the following statements recorded in the Wiltshire Times:
Mr Brazier said “I came on Saturday with the kids and I enjoyed it so much I brought the rest of the family back on Monday to see it again.
“Our two-year-old son Jack loves tractors so he really enjoyed having a ride on the trailer pulled by the steam tractor.”
His wife said: “We would certainly come back again, it’s just a lovely quaint day out.”
Sam Laurence added: “It’s really nice and peaceful and it’s interesting to learn about all the engines going round and round the ring.”
For full independent review see Wiltshire Times online article.
This year, 2010, we are looking to further expand the show over and above the excellent range of exhibits we had last year to include, amongst other things, a display of Motorcycle Trials riding on Classic Motorcycles and more tracked Armour in the Military section.
Entrance prices for the show reflect the non profit making nature of the event.

Cross Manufacturing of Combe Down, Bath attended again in 2009 for which we are most grateful. As well as their pioneering motorcycles they brought with them a Rover 3500 car, but with their own high performance engine under the bonnet. This example of local engineering expertise is to be marvelled. The following downloadable historic Cross articles are very interesting and well worth a read:
