THE CLUB
The Selwood Steam and Vintage Vehicle Preservation Society has been strong for many years and is dedicated to the preservation of our British heritage (Land of Hope and Glory and all that!). It is a very friendly Club and new members are welcome.
The first I knew of the Club was through their annual Rally which used to be held at Rhode Bird Gardens but in the end that venue proved to be a bit muddy if the weather was not kind.
I have been exhibiting at the event for about 8 years and at that time the Rally was held over the road from the current venue. It is now held on a superb site on mild sloping ground and is a most enjoyable event, although the last couple of years have been marred slightly with dampness..
Regular social evenings are held throughout the year - see 2008 Calendar tab.
The Club hosts regular Sales events -See Clearout tab- which are popular with both sellers and buyers alike. It’s a chance to either make room in the shed or obtain that elusive part you’ve been seeking for years.
